OUTINGS & EVENTS
We meet at local parks, have picnics, enjoy story time, engage in creative crafts, pool parties and so much more. Sometimes it is fun just to get the children together to blow bubbles for an hour. Some of the activities we have enjoyed in the past are participating in the Clemson Christmas parade, trip to the Greenville Zoo, hay rides, Easter egg hunts and blueberry picking... just to name a few.
WEEKLY PLAY GROUPS
These are small groups of members who meet weekly to allow kids and moms a chance to socialize. Members are placed in playgroups based on their available schedules and other requests. Playgroup locations usually rotate between the playgroup members’ houses, but exact location is up to the members’ discretion. Our members find that joining a playgroup is an invaluable way of making new friends, both for themselves as well as their children!
MOMMA MEALS ON WHEELS
One of our programs open to all members, if they are interested, is “Momma Meals on Wheels”. When a member has a baby we try and provide a few home cooked meals so that they can spend more time with their newborn without worrying about cooking.
SERVICE PROJECTS
As well, we participate in a service project each year. In the past we have bought Christmas presents for children and supported the building of a new park. If you know of a program or cause which we might be able to aide please let one of the board members know.
FAMILY GET TOGETHERS
Most husbands like to get involved, too. We have several Family Get-togethers, usually around the holidays– either at a member’s home or a local park. Families bring side dishes and desserts to share. It is a relaxing way for the husbands to get to know each other, too. Try your best to join us for these events!
MOMS NIGHT OUT
Moms Night Out (MNO) is a once a month event for the Mothers in the group. We go out for dinner, catch a movie, meet at a member’s house for conversation, meet for coffee and dessert after dinner, etc. Meeting like this gives us an opportunity to get to know one another as individuals. It is nice to find out what we like to do (or what we once did!) when we are not chasing children around!
MOMS CLUB MONTHLY SOCIAL
This is a fun monthly gathering to welcome new members or prospective new members to the club and socialize as the kids play and the moms talk. All members are invited, new and old alike.
CHAPTER NEWSLETTER
The club provides a monthly newsletter to inform our members of the events within the club as well as goings-on in the community and other interesting tidbits.
